Welcome to the Victorian Space Age. This site is dedicated to all people who enjoy looking beyond their time and place of reality. It is my sincere hope that you will enjoy your time here. To that end, check out the  "Alternate History" section. Periodically a new article will be posted that will cover an extraordinary event that never happened (at least not yet). In addition (for a general overview) there is a Time Line page that is updated as stories from my Alternate History are unveiled. Also while you are here please check out my Gallery. In our home we have a Jules Verne Room that is dedicated to the Steam Punk genre of 19th century science fiction. As you go through this site I hope you will enjoy  it as much as I appreciate having this opportunity to share it with you.

Very Sincerely

Tim Dooley

My interest in 19th century science fiction goes back to the late 50's after seeing the movie "The Fabulous World of Jules Verne". During the 70's and 80's, I illustrated fantasy machines that included airships, land steamers, flying machines, submarine steamships, off-world cities, planetary and interstellar spacecraft. In 1986 these drawings created an opportunity for me to work as a Designer in the aerospace industry. In 1994 my drawings caught the attention of the woman who later became my wife. In 1997, one of my airship drawings (shown below) was published in the Orange County Register's Focus on Science page. In 2003, I started creating scratch built models of my own design for our Jules Verne room. Each time a model was completed, I sent out e-mails to entertain friends and co-workers. At their urging, I have created this site. I hope you will engoy it.
